Not sure how many will actually want this, but well, it may be useful sometime (for emulators, for example). This is collection with all known original retail firmwares for Sony PlayStation 3. It's verified using two sites: http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php/Ps3OsRels http://dukio.com/playstation-3-sticky/ps3-system-software-aka-firmware-versions/ Official firmware updates for Sony PlayStation 3 come from two sources: 1. From SONY's network update service. 2. With PlayStation 3 game disks (each disk brings minimun version needed for it). These are identical but differ in size: size of network update differs from version to version (newer versions are generally larger), but on-disk updates are always 268'435'456 bytes because they include zero-padding. Two firmwares were only ever found on disks: 1.94 and 2.16. All others are in "network form" (add zeros if you need on-disk form). Two firmwares were silently updated by SONY: 3.41 and 3.56. These are included twice. Today it's still easy to find all these firmwares "in the wild" using Google, but links are dying and some firmwares are not easy to find already (for example most sites carry version 1.60 in file PS3_170_FW_UPDATE.rar) so IMO it's good idea to preserve these. About incremental patch: http://www.ps3-hacks.com/forums/about8991.htmlAbout downgrade: http://www.ps3-hacks.com/2010/11/16/ps-downgrade-real-confirmed-working-100/Note: not all firmwares are compatible with all systems. Slim versions, in particular, were sold with 2.7x, 2.85 and 2.90 firmwares initially. Not only these firmwares are not available for download - it's not clear if older firmwares are compatible with slim models at all!P.S. If someone will upload debug/kiosk firmwares it'll be greatly appreciated but I only have couple of these - the ones which are still available on SONY servers...
