Great news for 1.50 users! <a target=_blank href="http://www.ahman.co.nr/" target="_blank">AhMan</a> has updated the popular shell replacement, iR Shell, to version 1.3. This release improves stability and speed when utilizing the Ad Hoc file transfer functionality. From the README:

The original adhoc file transfer protocol in v1.2 is replaced with a sliding window file transfer protocol with error recovery. The transfer throughput has been boosted from 90KB/sec to 270KB/sec. That is 3 times faster. This version is incompatible with v1.2, you can only transfer files with other users with the same version of iR Shell.

So what is this again? iR Shell basically runs on-top of the existing PSP XMB combining many useful features into one shell - MP3 playback during UMD and homebrew <a target=_blank class="kLink1" oncontextmenu="return false;" id="KonaLink2" onmouseover="adlinkMouseOver(event,this,2);" style="POSITION: relative; TEXT-DECORATION: underline" onclick="dcax47y(event,0,this,2,this)" onmouseout="adlinkMouseOut(event,this,2);" href="http://www.psp-hacks.com/#" target="_top">game play</a>, a screenshot capture tool, an infrared <a target=_blank class="kLink1" oncontextmenu="return false;" id="KonaLink3" onmouseover="adlinkMouseOver(event,this,3);" style="POSITION: relative; TEXT-DECORATION: underline" onclick="dcax47y(event,0,this,3,this)" onmouseout="adlinkMouseOut(event,this,3);" href="http://www.psp-hacks.com/#" target="_top">universal remote control</a>, and of course Adhoc Wifi file transfer support
