원문기사:May 2, 2006 - Atari showed off its latest games recently, during its Pre-E3 event in San Francisco. One such title, Dungeons & Dragons Tactics, made its public debut at the show. It's developed by Kuju and, according to the folks at Atari, adheres closely to third edition rules of D&D. The build on display wasn't finished yet; in fact the representative who demoed it said it was the first working build. 
 
<div id="intelliTxt">From the name, one would guess Tactics is a turn-based strategy title. And wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what it is. You control a band of heroes through an epic adventure filled with magic, dragons and all sorts of D&D goodness. Unlike the last <a target=_blank class="iAs" style="COLOR: green; BORDER-BOTTOM: green 1px solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; TEXT-DECORATION: underline" href="http://psp.ign.com/articles/704/704534p1.html#" target="_blank">PSP</a> title with Tactics in the title, Lord of the Rings Tactics, D&D is more of a true dungeon crawler. You'll spend hours up hours exploring numerous dungeons scattered about the gameworld, instead of fighting disjointed battles like those in Lord of the Rings tactics.
In terms of story, the game is set against an epic war between two dragons. Specifics remain a little scarce, but apparently these two dragons are vying for power, and they've involved the entire world in their tussle. And it's up to you and your party of adventurers to get heroic and save the globe. You can form a group of six, including all the character classes that D&D fans have come to expect. All melee, tank, mage and ranger classes will be made available. 
While not in the version on display, the finish build will incorporate a roster of lighting and particle effects. Also, the game will pack the infamous fog of war to mask enemy movement outside of the player's visual range. But this, too, wasn't in the Pre-E3 build. When it's all finished, you can expect more than 40 hours of gameplay out of D&D Tactics, which should please just about any fan. 
And yes, the game includes multiplayer. You can play through the story campaign cooperatively with up to six players over a local wireless connection, or engage in simple combat to see who has the strongest character. The game won't support infrastructure play, but you can download weapons and items directly to your PSP from within the game. Again, Atari was a little shy when it came to details on just how much is available for download, but they assured us that'd it'd be plenty. As a final bonus, you'll be able to create near-limitless numbers of characters and trade them wirelessly with other players.
